Critics Reviews

Performance Analysis At stock speeds, the R9 270 is on par with the GTX 660 and HD 7870 in Battlefield 3 but 4fps behind the R9 270X, with PowerColor's overclock reducing this gap to 2fps.

The lack of TrueAudio on the R9 280X and R9 270X is definitely an issue, especially if the technology takes off and buyers cotton on to it being "available on AMD's latest graphics cards".

The R9 270 is an excellent little graphics card that provides an enviable combination of low price with good framerates along with a free copy of Battlefield 4.

AMD's new Radeon R9 270X matches last generation's HD 7950 in performance while still coming at an attractive $200 price point. We were a bit disappointed by the reference-design cooler, but board partners will soon release their own designs with custom heatsinks that will perform better.
